Small data, on purpose

What we do not collect

• No account, email address, name, or social login.
• No ChatGPT prompts, AI responses, conversation content, or data from an external AI website.
• No browser fingerprinting.
• No third-party advertising trackers in V1.

Anonymous participant identifier

When an interaction needs persistent identity—such as a vote or skipping to the result—the server can issue a random first-party cookie. The browser keeps the random token; the database stores a one-way hash. It exists to update a report within a ten-minute bucket, count one current opinion per participant, recognise repeat participation, and apply basic abuse limits.

Reports we store

A rating stores the product, five-point value, whether the crowd result had already been shown, its server-generated time and ten-minute bucket, source, and a validity flag. If a negative rater optionally chooses what felt wrong, we store that fixed category with the rating. There is no free text in V1.

First-party product telemetry

We record a small set of events needed to understand whether the product works: prompt views, blind and exposed votes, skips, issue selections, sharing, and history-range changes. We avoid arbitrary page-behaviour parameters. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the application database solely for convenience; network infrastructure may still process connection data as part of serving and protecting the site.

Local preferences

Your light or dark theme preference is stored locally in your browser. Session storage remembers whether this tab has already revealed the current result so a later report is correctly treated as exposed.

Retention and scope

Anonymous participant, rating, issue-category, and first-party telemetry records are retained while they are needed to operate and evaluate ModelMoods V1. The service does not use them for advertising or sell them. This notice describes the current product design without making unsupported claims about legal regimes, certifications, or guarantees.
